Untitled (Square Rainbow)

Materials: mylar, house paint

Dimensions: 20'x20'

This geometric supergraphic is a reshaped, deconstructed rainbow that seems to both disappear and ask for attention at the same time. Some people avoided stepping on the work by treated it as a physical boundary, others acted as if it was a footpath. In either case, the work interrupted how people engaged with the floor and the open floor plan of the gallery. This work was in a juried exhibition titled, "Provocations," and was curated by Sarah Bancroft of the Guggenheim and OCMA.
